Branding for Off The Wall Inc.
Off The Wall Inc. is a not-for-profit grassroots association. They are autonomous and locate ourselves outside the mainstream “mental health” and “disability” sectors. They host reading groups, retreats, film screenings, public talks and other events and actively advocate for attitudinal changes, knowledge sharing and eradication of discrimination and stigma attached to those deemed mad, disabled or in other ways diverging from the social norms.
A tree that incorporates multiple human behaviours inspired the Off The Wall Inc. logo. Our goal was to develop a grass roots brand that blended different human emotions to create a professional but also creative and interesting brand for people to be inspired by.
The key words to define the Off The Wall Inc. brand are: professional, mental health, grass roots and growth. All aspects of the visual identity are defined by these important keywords, ensuring the brand communicates with a unified voice. Everybody who comes into contact with Off The Wall Inc. will have the same brand experience and everything they say and do will reflects their brand values.
Contrasting visual elements including the custom designed ‘scribble’ styled logo and the soft water colour imagery were used to illustrate the differing styles of human emotion and behavior.
